The author of these pages is a purely hobby sim pilot without any background in real-world aviation nor pilot license. He is mostly flying the DCS: P-47 Thunderbolt in DCS World (and direly awaiting the DCS: F4U-1D Corsair!). Less often he flies some of the 1940s and 1950s warbirds in MSFS 2024 as well as (rarely) the Pe-2 in IL-2 Shturmovik BOS.
In DCS World, the author regularly flies as "Firefly" on Serpent's vVMF-214 "Black Sheep" server and tries to contribute there to mission building as well as team building and helping the aircrews of the Black Sheep to find from A to B by Dead Reckoning without getting lost over the Pacific Ocean.
